Senior Research Analyst Allison De Jong holds an M.A. in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences at Columbia University. She joined Langer Research Associates shortly after earning a B.A. in psychology and economics at the University of Texas at Austin in May 2017.
De Jong is the lead analyst on statewide polls for the Charles Butt Foundation, a nonprofit that aims to elevate the teaching profession and improve public education in Texas. In addition to this role, De Jong designs questionnaires, coordinates with data providers, analyzes survey data and produces client-facing reports in her role as analyst.
Among other projects, De Jong has worked as an Election Night Analyst for ABC News since 2018 and contributed to ABC News/Washington Post polls, quarterly studies for the National Sleep Foundation, and national surveys on intended COVID-19 vaccine uptake.
Prior to joining Langer Research, De Jong worked in her university’s Social Cognition Lab supporting research on spontaneous evaluations, moral judgement and decision making, where she co-authored a publication in the peer-reviewed journal Social Cognition. She’s also worked as a research analyst intern in the Customer Insights department at H-E-B Grocery Co.
